Ava Hammond is a vivacious seventh grader and a leader on the soccer field, the basketball court, and in her classroom. She was selected by both peers and teachers as an inaugural member of her school’s Hope Squad, where she practices leadership across her community. Ava is also a regional champion of The Amazing Shake speaking competition and went on to compete at the global level at the Ron Clark Academy in Georgia. She loves sports, speaking, singing, and spending time with her friends and family. In her talk, Lead by Listening, Ava explores how empathy and attention can create real connection and meaningful impact for today’s youth.
